Nova Scotia sports fans will have a tough decision in March — they will have two great events to choose from. From March 6 to 14, curling fans will be able to attend the 2010 Tim Horton’s Brier at the Halifax Metro Centre. From March 12 to 14, basketball fans will be able to catch the Atlantic University Sport men’s basketball championship at Centre 200 in Sydney. The AUS announced the new location today, Oct. 8, in Sydney. Both events highlight the importance of a healthy, active lifestyle. “I’m very pleased that two such fantastic sporting events will be happening in our province this March,” said Health Promotion and Protection Minister Maureen MacDonald. “I know the people in both Halifax and Cape Breton will do an excellent job as hosts.” The province wishes all athletes the best of luck in these two events.
