first_imgIRELAND defender Seamus Coleman has said his side are extremely disappointed after a 1-0 reverse at Celtic Park in Glasgow tonight.Speaking to RTE after Shaun Maloney’s wonder goal separated the sides, the Killybegs man said however that Ireland would move on quickly from the result and bounce back. The Everton man admitted Ireland were caught napping as Scotland worked their second half winner from a short corner. “We are disappointed, very disappointed, but we will get over it and move on quickly,” said  the Donegal man.“We were caught out on the goal but we gave it everything and we move on quickly.”Aiden McGeady was targeted by Scottish boo-boys throughout the game, but for large parts of the match it was the Irish fans who could be heard singing the loudest. It was a helter skelter game played at a frantic pace and Ireland never really got to grips with midfield. Former Hoops star Maloney curled home the game’s only goal 15 minutes from time as the Scots finally made the pressure tell against us.Substitute Chris Martin had earlier passed up a glorious opportunity to give the home side the lead from close range and Ireland very nearly snatched a point at the death when Robbie Brady’s free-kick glanced off a Scottish head and cannoned against the crossbar.See you at the Aviva Scotland COLEMAN DISAPPOINTED AFTER IRELAND LOSS IN GLASGOW was last modified: November 14th, 2014 by John2Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:Irelandseamus colemanlast_img
